India runs a growing share of the world’s enterprise AI, built, fine-tuned and operated inside GCC captives and exported by Indian IT and product firms. Accountability for that AI increasingly sits under laws written elsewhere, and under India’s own DPDP regime at home.

Article 2 pulls in any provider or deployer whose AI output is used in the EU, wherever they sit. Indian GCCs and exporters are in scope by function, not geography.

A deployer that white-labels, fine-tunes or re-purposes a third-party model can become the provider and inherit the full obligation set. Most don’t know they’ve crossed the line.

Fraud detection, HR tech, decision support and healthcare AI map onto EU high-risk categories. Article 50 transparency duties have applied since 2 August 2026.
04 · Why now
The DPDP Rules were notified in November 2025, with full compliance due by May 2027. Add RBI, SEBI and MeitY expectations, and AI that acts on personal data needs consent, purpose and an audit trail.

CAGPO is a 10-session executive programme that trains senior leaders to own AI governance and privacy in their organisation. It combines 40 hours of live online sessions, a 100-hour self-paced video library from SUNY Potsdam and a capstone. Participants who pass the examination receive the Advanced Diploma for Chief AI Governance & Privacy Officer from SUNY Potsdam, State University of New York. The curriculum is aligned with IAPP AIGP, IAPP CIPP and ISO/IEC 42001.
Yes. CAGPO is the new name for the programme previously listed as Certified AI Governance Professional (CAIGP) in India. The name now reflects the combined AI governance and privacy role it prepares you for.
The next cohort starts on 7 October 2026. There are 10 live sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays, 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM IST, from 7 October to 6 November, followed by a 2-hour virtual capstone clinic around 20 November.
Yes. The curriculum covers all four domains of the IAPP AIGP Body of Knowledge (v2.1). Tier 2 includes an IAPP AIGP exam voucher, one-year IAPP membership and a domain-mapped preparation pack. The AIGP exam is taken independently with IAPP; the certification is conferred by IAPP, not by 360DigiTMG or SUNY Potsdam.
Module 7 teaches ISO/IEC 42001 as an AI management system, with a gap assessment and control crosswalk to NIST AI RMF and the EU AI Act. Module 4 covers the privacy principles and controller obligations tested in IAPP CIPP, applied to India’s DPDP Act, GDPR and Malaysia’s PDPA.
CAGPO is for leaders who must answer for AI: GCC heads, CISOs, CROs, DPOs, heads of AI and data, audit and legal leaders, founders and board members. It is not a coding programme, it is not designed for freshers, and the diploma is not awarded for attendance alone.
Every participant also gets a complimentary Agentic AI module built around 10 real enterprise use cases, showing how agents are designed, deployed and governed in production. It carries a separate certificate from the University of Hyderabad and sits alongside the CAGPO programme at no extra cost.

You build a board-ready AI Governance Charter, a 90-Day Governance Maturity Roadmap, a Regulatory Exposure Map and a RACI matrix for AI decision rights, all based on your own organisation rather than a generic case study.
Yes. The governance architecture is universal, and the regulatory layer covers Malaysia’s PDPA and proposed AI Governance Bill, Singapore’s frameworks and the ASEAN Guide alongside India and the EU. Participants from Malaysia and ASEAN are assessed against the regime that binds their organisation.
There are two tiers. Tier 1 covers the live programme, the 100-hour SUNY video library and the SUNY Potsdam Advanced Diploma.
